My name is Gerry Neads and I have been a settter for 35yrs. At present I work every day and at the moment I am working on 3 turret twin spindle machines , we have 3 Miyano's A.B.X.'s and 12 other various types of CNC's in Mann eng in Ireland.
I have worked in different companies around Europe (5) with different technique,s when it come to machining.
After answering Q,s about 'how fast' or 'what tool 'I decided to make my own little pocketbook, this is widley used and saves the company's top man a lot of hardship. IT IS NOT A BIBLE but will help save time and money .
The same applies to my Pricing-Tech disk .
As quotes come in ,buyers may ask for a price on 100 ,200 1000 or say in 304 st. st. etc.
then they could come back and ask for 50 in Brass.At a touch of a button you can give quotes for different quantities , check up on previous material prices.
The important part of pricing are the cycle times for. Fixed head ,Sliding head, Mills ,2nd ops , light fabrications
my system will add them to the materials and other prices to give an overall quote.
The system also allows easy, updating of old prices and keeps a handle of the rising costs which can be overlooked when a re-quote is required.
